Treehouse on the Loch

The ambience of a Treehouse is quite different from any other place. Wonderful views, the leaves gently rustling overhead and the cool shade combine to create a unique sanctuary in which relaxation seem to come naturally. There is no better place in which to forget about the stresses of modern life and just unwind.

Whether sitting alone reading the Sunday papers, gathered with friends for a quiet evening drink or just watching the world go by, you will find that the peaceful and serene environment of a Treehouse can refresh even the weariest of souls.

With on the wound of water below and the wind in the braches above to distract from the magnificent views, this tranquil haven takes full advantage of what must be one of the most dramatic settings in the Scottish Highlands.

In a Grand Scots Pine on the very edge of a quiet loch, I designed a rather special retreat which perfectly complements the authentic Art and Craft house which stands just a short distance across the lawn. Taking their inspiration from the eclectic style made popular by the designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the craftsmen carefully re-created timber work details from the main house, giving the impression that the unique Treehouse may have been in place almost as long as the house itself.
